Marie Stopes was an incredible lady, who we owe so much to. She was the first female academic on the faculty of the University of Manchester, working on plant palaeontology and coal classification. She founded the first birth control clinic in Britain and edited a newspaper called 'Birth Control News', which gave advice on contraceptives. She also wrote a sex manual, which controversially brought the subject of birth control into wider discussion. Without Marie Stopes, women may not have the access to the contraception they do today.

But the fight isn't over. Women all over the world are still fighting for reproductive rights, which is why a portion of the profits from this product will be donated to MSI Reproductive Choices, a charity in Marie Stopes' name.
